Learn through play and grow with confidence
Our French-language and French-immersion program supports each child’s whole development while respecting their pace, interests and personality.
Learning through play
Play allows children to explore, experiment, communicate and make sense of their discoveries.
Respecting each child’s pace
Every child develops in their own way. Our approach adapts to their needs, interests and abilities.
Supporting whole-child development
Physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development grow together and influence one another.
Partnering with families
A trusting relationship between the team and parents supports emotional security and healthy development.
Children learn through play
For children, play is a natural way to understand the world. Through play, they observe, imagine, try, try again, communicate and find their own solutions.
The most meaningful learning often happens through enjoyment. That is why our program gives an important place to free play, exploration activities and projects chosen according to the group’s interests.
Make choices Children learn to recognize their interests and preferences.
Solve problems They look for solutions and develop reasoning skills.
Communicate They share ideas and create games with others.
Build confidence They discover their abilities and take pride in their achievements.
Every area of a child’s development is interconnected
Like the pieces of a puzzle, the different areas of development complement one another to form a whole. A single activity can involve movement, language, emotions, creativity and cooperation.
Physical and motor development
Running, climbing, jumping, handling materials, building and taking part in movement courses help children develop coordination, balance, strength and motor skills.
Social and emotional development
Group life helps children build relationships, cooperate, share, recognize emotions and express their needs with confidence.
Cognitive development
Experiences, construction play, science, the arts and age-appropriate challenges stimulate curiosity, memory, reasoning and problem solving.
Language development
Stories, discussions, pretend play and daily conversations enrich vocabulary and encourage children to communicate in French.
Language develops through everyday conversations
At ages 4 and 5, children rapidly expand their vocabulary. Our environment invites them to speak, ask questions, tell stories, listen and take part in varied conversations.
French is naturally present in games, stories, songs, guided activities, outings and conversations with educators and other children.
- Children’s literature and reading aloud
- Discussions and group gatherings
- Role play and pretend play
- Songs, rhymes and rhythmic activities
- Discovering new words in real-life contexts
A reassuring and flexible routine
Routines give children helpful reference points, while varied activities feed their curiosity. The program remains adaptable to their energy, interests and opportunities for discovery.
Free play
Children choose their games, play partners and the ideas they want to explore.
Rest
A quiet or restful period allows children to recharge.
Guided activity
The team offers art, science, language and movement projects.
Outdoor play
Children play in the yard, explore nature and enjoy the region’s green spaces.
Independent activity centres
Accessible materials allow each child to practise different skills at their own pace.
Build independence and a love of learning
Preparing for kindergarten is not only about acquiring knowledge. It is mainly about helping children develop the skills they need to approach this new stage positively.
Support rather than do things for the child
Our team uses a democratic guidance approach. Children are invited to express their point of view, take part in age-appropriate decisions and look for solutions with the caring support of an educator.
This approach develops independence, judgment, confidence and the feeling of being heard and respected.
