Our story

A project designed especially for children ages 4 and 5

La petite école was created from a desire to build an environment where the joy of growing, discovering and creating is central. A family home in the Aylmer sector was transformed to welcome a group of 20 children each day.

Our preschool stands out for its family-like setting, stable team and educational approach centred on play, respect, independence and discovery.

Our own school bus also allows children to take part in activities and educational outings throughout the region. Scheduled activities and transportation are included.

What sets us apart

A preschool designed for them

Every aspect of the environment supports whole-child development, emotional security and the joy of learning.

Our mission

Provide high-quality preschool education that responds to children’s individual and group needs while respecting each child’s developmental pace.

We gradually support them as they adapt to group life and prepare to enter kindergarten.

Our environment

The indoor and outdoor spaces allow children to play, create, move, experiment and relax.

The different play areas support imagination, motor skills, language, problem solving and social interaction.

Our group

Our capacity of 20 children allows the team to know each child well, observe their interests and respond attentively to their needs.

This small-scale setting supports stability, emotional security and a sense of belonging.

A lively environment

Spaces to play, create and move

The spaces at La petite école are designed at the children’s scale. They can choose their games, explore materials, invent stories, complete projects and spend time with friends.

The outdoor yard and nearby Martin-Perrier Park enrich outdoor play and provide many opportunities to explore nature and develop gross motor skills.
